I think what we have witnessed with the behavior of Republican establishment types in the Roy Moore debacle are continuing proof of my position on what has been going on in DC.
When a man is accused using 40 year old allegations of which proof has not been established and those claims are used to ruin his career we should all be outraged. There is no picture of him as in Franken's case or payments made to settle sexual harassment claims as in the case of Conyers and others.
Let me be clear that I do not support sexual harassment but where were these women when Moore was running for his other offices. It is beyond rational to think they suddenly decided to come forward after FORTY YEARS. How does anyone answer a charge that is that old and of which no proof of any substance of improper acts has been produced. Very convenient to make allegations which you know you will never have to back in court because the statute of limitations is up.
Get ready for more of this as progressives surely believe they have found a wedge issue to use as a weapon. The only answer that I think is appropriate is for those who are falsely accused---and only Roy Moore and his accusers know if that is the case here--is to bring LARGE civil suits against these people. I know it would be difficult to prove but these matters need to be in the full public view that depositions and court room testimony would bring. I think after a few suits we would see only those who actually have real claims coming forward.
The Swamp is populated by Rs, Ds, Bureaucrats and Lobbyists and their interconnection is greater than their differences since they all profit off of the status quo.
